Someone else is muscling in on ask's turf. Worse, they've got green, blue and gray all on one page. We're doooooomed.

I wouldn't panic just yet.

It's Web 2.0 conforming, I see. Ugh.

Look and feel cobbled together, Burroughs cut-up style, from a dozen neglected default WordPress installs.

Which web 2.0 style manual calls for tiny, grey, hard-to-read text, anyway?

That's actually web 0.2, I think.

"What should I say?" also happens to be a somewhat silly name. What if you're asking about masturbation techniques, or how to trim your dog, or some such? Those aren't things you'd need to "say" anything about; just simple questions.

Ah, yes. First question that loaded for me was something like, "What should I do when my girlfriend and I get in an argument?" and the answer was, "Hit her."

Uhg, it's got the threaded system like /. only worse (people can comment on answers- viewing them brings you to another page altogether. I hate message forums like that).

Here is another AskMe ripoff.

If it gets people answers they want, I'm all for it. The internet is more than big enough for more than one successful Q&A site, one would have thought.

While I personally think "Web 2.0" is a collosal joke, I think in this instance the idea of allowing people to comment on answers in a tree view that distinguishes them from the answers themselves is actually a pretty good idea.
Those not interested in the noise of the comments on answers can easily skim past them, but they are still readily viewable for those interested.

Agreed, I'm not sure why there's a zero-sum obsession over Q&A sites. It's not like AskMe is hurting for questions...

There's also some bad synergy going on.

Some of us just really enjoy the random juxtapositions that filterless surfing provide. Fortuity before cleanliness! Serendipity, not sterility!

May the MeFi collective never sink to those design lows. Eesh.

I misread that as "Irritation is the highest form of flattery," which didn't make much sense. Glad to see that wasn't what you were saying.

What should I say looks like an even more juvenile version of Answerbag; I can't see MeFi's popularity waning as a result.

Seems like a good opportunity to again mention the MetaChat Thread of Controversial AskMe Questions.
