"x new" woes in meta

in metatalk only, once i visit "x new" for a thread (or even just the top of a thread), returning to metatalk wipes out any "x new" comment notices that had been listed before.

Its only been within the last hour or two, I think. I was here earlier and didn't notice that phenomenon.

MeTA does it off and on for me. "New" is off again now. (IE6)

Try opening a new window for threads (or even checking your caching preferences).
