MeFi featured in 'Loose Change'? April 15, 2007 3:38 AM Subscribe
Is this MeFi featuring in the Loose Change "documentary"? The colour scheme suggests yes but I can't read any of the text on the page. [Google Video]
I hardly think showing an unattributed screenshot for two seconds qualifies as being "featured".

So, it was MeFi. Woooooo!
The question, though, is why put the word 'documentary' in quotation marks in your post? I suppose it's to indicate that you disagree with the premise of the film? Nonetheless, it's still classifiable as a documentary. No need for the quotes...

Yes, we were in it. I think this thread is actually a double, but I can't be bothered to find the original.

All I am saying is, there are some unanswered questions about the appearance of Metafilter in the Loose Change documentary and I don't know why mathowie refuses to answer them.

They're referring to my comment in the 9/11 thread in the documentary. It seems that I have the dubious honor of being a primary source for 9/11 conspiracy nuts. If only I could figure out a way to work that into my resume.

Turaho, you just need to figure out how to subtly hint in the cover letter to conspiracy theorists that you have a "secret resume" available only to fellow travelers. Good luck!

that's pretty great that they don't find an article stating the information, but rather go by a rumor from a blog. hot!

Also, it's pretty impressive that an image hotlink to the CNN website from 9:33 AM on 9/11, a link to a breaking news story over five years ago, still works just fine.

Yes, that is quite cool!
Also, we do better research on our reportage here than they do at Fox "News", even when we're reporting on ski resorts, sock puppets, obesity, etc.
