My comment was swallowed whole on preview November 23, 2001 2:36 PM   Subscribe

This is probably the fault of my vintage programs but, for the past two days every time I've tried to preview a comment on the blue pages only, my comment was swallowed alive. Any advice?

The only time that I've ever seen my previewed comments disappear is when I tried to embed a link in a comment and forgot to fully enclose the URL in quotes:

" < -forgotten end quotebr>
Since I doubt that you were embedding a malformed tag in every single comment that you tried to post, that most likely wasn't your problem. Since it only happens on the MeFi pages and not MeTa, I'd suspect that it may have something to do with that old standby, the corrupted cookie. Have you tried deleting your cookies, cleaning the browser cache and temporary internet files, exiting your browser, then logging back in?

If that doesn't help, post more info like the type of browser you're using, operating system, etc.

Thanks, MrBaiHai, that seems to have fixed it!

"The Corrupted Cookie" sounds like it ought to be a Sherlock Holmes story.

""So you see, Watson, the poison resided within the very biscuit itself!"

"Gad, Holmes, how do you do it?"

Grangousier, "The Corrupted Cookie" seems more a Perry Mason case to me.

No offense, Grangousier, but Carol Anne's got it right by me---I can *see* the leggy blonde on the pb cover!

And I can even tell you who the murderer was...because, in the Perry Mason books, all I ever had to do was follow the money. No other motive ever.
