The ongoing mechanisation of farming means I won't attend a lynching with anything less than a combine harvester these days. The old rural skills are dying, unlike the self-linkers, sadly.

Curious. His FPP and several of his prior comments link to .nu sites or blogspot pages that are all tied together by <mavlinks.blogspot.com>. Link farmer?

Honestly I was brand new then and didn't know it wasn't allowed, all I noticed was that one had to make "enough comments" and wait at least a week to post, then Matt kindly advised on the matter but i must've misunderstood because from that i got the idea that there might be exceptions, like the spirit of the law as opposed to the letter. I wasn't thinking that it's my page or not my page, there's simply no other site on the internet with anything like that much content about her lineage. Sorry to have ruffled feathers and glad to see a comment actually pertinent to the term her family gave to the language. The whole pack mentality reaction of just about everyone else is really impressive guys!

the spirit of the law as opposed to the letter

You're violating the spirit of the guidelines too. I'd be interested to know what precisely you refer to when you said that Matt wrote something implying that self-links were now okay. I don't remember anything like that.

The whole pack mentality reaction of just about everyone else is really impressive guys!

Judge: "The jury unanimously finds the defendant guilty on all counts..."
Priyatam: "I object, Your Honor! The unanimity of the jury just shows that they have a pack mentality and can't be trusted."

Sorry to have ruffled feathers

Eponysterical?

The things is, priyatam... I just don't know how it can get any clearer on the post page. You really didn't understand that? Really?

Maybe you can help us come up with a more forthright way of saying "You read the guidelines, right? Because linking to your own site or a project you worked on in this space will result in a deletion and your account will be banned".

How can we make this confusing sentence a little easier to understand?

I was looking forward to dissolving my individuality in the pack, brandishing the pitchforks. But jessamyn has already disbanded the posse....

Yeah, I actually corresponded with this guy a while back when I saw some of his previous comments (a couple of which were deleted). It would take a damned tortured interpretation to get this "spirit" out of that conversation. Balls the size of Texas; RIP.
