Dark blue forevah! August 24, 2007 10:01 PM Subscribe
On my favourites page, the dark blue popups that appear when I hover over a link never disappear when I move my mouse away.
Sound like you've got Mesothelioma.

Hey that happens to me sometimes.
I don't like it.
Well, not much.

um, turn them off in your prefs?
I haven't looked at them in two years, I forgot it was even an option anymore. It's probably buggy old code.

Did I turn that on sometime, or is on by default?
They used to work until a few weeks ago.

Might be buggy. Couldn't say if it's old. Those popups appear and disappear as they're supposed to for me. (Also FF 2.0.0.6 ... maybe check your extensions?)

I had no idea they were turn-off-able. In fact, today is the first time I noticed them or knew they existed (which says more about me than it does about metacode).
I'll turn them off....I just wanted to report this as my duty as a mefite.

I've recommended better solutions than the one you're using for the same effect 3 times that I can remember in the last year. Guess you missed them. I think the best implementation is Dustin Diaz's (it's the one I hacked for that demo of image link rollovers I made a while back), but there are others, all of which are better than the one you're using.
(Something has changed in the javascript recently (causing pages to hang again in IE6 (at work, for me)), and that may be borking the title hovers for some people.)

This happens to me all the time and it's annoying as hell. You should probably fix your buggy code rather than just tell people to "um, turn them off in your prefs?"
