Greta Simone is going to come home! Follow-up to this post

Someone found my cat! After 45 days missing! She's very sick, but she should be ok. So hopefully, my roommate's cat will chill out, as none of the suggestions worked. But thanks ask.mefi for caring enough to take the time to answer. My kitty (and also my name-sake, Greta Simone) is going to come home!

Yay to your cat coming back! Might want to take her to the vet to make sure she's ok. Awesome though.

Link to the thread, for the lazy.

This is good news! What the heck was she doing for 45 days?

She's at the vet. And will be for a few days. She's seriously sick, but should be ok. Spider-- I sure would like to know what she was doing. Not eating, apparently. She went from 7 lbs to 4.5 lbs. It was very sad seeing her in such a terrible state. But someone found her and took her to the emergency vet. She's chipped, so they called me. It's really quite impossible, but it happened!

Lesson to all: please have your animals microchipped, and remember to update your phone number and address with the micro-chip company people if you move or change numbers.

Yay! I had a cat returned after 14 days once, which felt damn good, and 45 days is well long enough to have given up hope so I'm extra extra happy for all you guys. Fingers crossed for all going well with the treatment and a quick return home. At least she's safe now.

You may find things a wee bit strained when re-integrating her so don't rush things. Particularly with a vet visit in between, Greta isn't going to smell like family straight away. The cats will come back together though and your room mates cat should perk up again pretty quickly once she has her friend back. I forsee much spoiling in the future for these kitties :-D
