All time biggest favorites? November 17, 2007 1:54 PM   Subscribe

I really like the last 7 days highly favourited list - I get to see things I would have otherwise missed. Is there some way I can see the most favourited posts of all time (eg mushroom one. I've read the FAQ - It's a little difficult searching successfully on "favorite/s".) in both Metafilter and AskMe?

Thanks!

Now for AskMe, you could play the Clock Game with Google by searching for "users marked this as a favorite", but the "Most Important Book in Your Field" has 815 favorites which could be the winner.

No, Pastabagel's Mr Roger's beats it. 371 and counting. Just picked up another 50 this week because it was cited in the 'how to be a nice person' thread.

It would be cool if there was RSS for the most favourited pages - at the moment the RSS feed for those pages is the home page.

More statistical munging: Which thread has the largest sum of favorites for both post and comments? Which thread has the highest favorites average?

I would love to see that "Most favorited posts of all time" page go deeper, like to the top 100 or even 200. Purely for surfing reasons and to be sure I haven't missed "the best of." Plus, it's a good page to send to people when you are telling them about Mefi.

I am very sorry that a link to the mushroom post was included. It made me remember when MeFi had images...I know, I can't go on living in the past...but it's hard to let go sometimes... :-(

In case anyone revisits this, you can now view the most favorited posts on AskMe thanks to this MetaTalk request. Yay, I was right!
