Broken Image on Login Page December 22, 2007 10:25 AM   Subscribe

Has anyone else noticed this?

There is a broken image over the MeFi logo on the new https login page. This happens for me with IE7+Vista. I haven't tried other browser/OS combinations.

Just thought I would mention it.

Doesn't show up for me on Firefox/XP. I have the page zoomed in to 150% though, so it could be hiding there somewhere.

Yeah, I'm assuming it's IE specific.

I do get it in IE7 as well.

I got it on IE7/Vista as well, FWIW.

I thought about trying it, but was afraid I wouldn't be able to get back in. And *then* where would I be, me who has no life?

It's a DHS web-bug.

Should be fixed now. There's a blank.gif hack for showing png images and the blank placeholder was missing, but it's there now.

Is there any need for a PNG hack nowadays? Some sort of IE6/alpha channel thing?

I don't think IE ever got that png thing right, being a piece of shit and everything.

Yeah, I don't think even IE7 gets it right.

Yeah, IE7 is better but not perfect.

I'm continually amazed that people use MSIE. It has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

ie7 isn't bad.

If you're keen on arbitrary pointless ill-conceived beshittification of the user interface and puppy torture to boot, well, sure!
