Seen about town: this guy's movie poster in front of this theater says "AS SEEN ON THIS SITE". Also, this one, if I'm not mistaken.
"Discuss" [I IS NOTJENSINIST]
"Discuss" [I IS NOTJENSINIST]
I remember this picture from a while back. Flamewar aside, that's comedy right there.

That's about my feelings about ol' Keith as well.
As for PIX, sadly you'll have to rely on someone else -- I'm just the reporter (and this ain't /b/ yet). I believe one might be able to invoke one of the many drones working in the bowels of Big White (ya hear me, luriete?) to hop out on an extended lunch hour.

Dobbs, that's text on the guy's blog. It doesn't look like it's actually on the movie poster.

"Seen about town" as in you saw it in real life? But you won't take pictures? Why post this at all then?

When you make something on a zero budget and you can't afford to buy any advertising or do a big press blow out, you use whatever you got and, Mentioned on MetaFilter.com will sometimes have to do.
Here's a picture of the poster
This version having added text about the premier.
You'll see the poster does not mention metafilter. It's on a seperate little print- out that was added to the poster case, along with a blurb describing the film. I've called The Crest Theater and am asking someone to take a photo and send it to me.
Hey Ogre Lawless, what does "That's about my feelings about ol' Keith as well." mean? Just curious.

Here's a pic of the poster hanging at the crest. You can see the blurb attached to the glass. It reads as follows:
We've all heard the urban legend of the panhandler hopping in his nice car and making his way to a comfortable home after a day of begging on the freeway off-ramp. Sacramento comedian Keith Lowell Jensen decided to find out just how hard it really is to make money holding up a cardboard sign. With his sights set on the easy life Jensen spent countless hours employing every gimmick imaginable in an attempt to make his fortune. Can you really make a good living begging? Is anyone doing it? Find out at the world premier of this enlightening, poignant and hilarious new documentary from local film producers Apprehensive Studios.
As featured on Spike TV, CBS Radio, Metafilter.com, Fark.com.
