The pageviews overtime graph is interesting. I wonder what the unique vistors stats are; I would imagine that they rose significantly after Sept 11.

I think you're correct RobertLoch, I just added a new graph, of distinct IPs per month, with a noticeable spike in September.

But there's also the 2 week slumber in August, which might make it appear more pronounced.

'I just added a new graph' Cheers for that mathowie. Perhaps MetaFilter could be used as some sort of gage on society. It would be interesting to know what the correlation overtime is between top news events and page views/individual IP's. I'd speculate for instance that just before the US election there was probably a blip upwards.
