The questioner is, pretty obviously, a certain reasonably well-known Mefi commenter, and there's no reason at all to doubt that every word of his question is true. It should stay up.

but this guy strikes me about the same way as this guy does.
and that guy didn't get his askme question deleted, either, and neither were smartass comments allowed in that thread.
so what's the point, here, guy? was this just to open up the official "snark about this user" thread? 9 out of 10 doctors agree that's kind of weak.

I...I don't get the similarity at all. How is saying "I did way too many drugs back in the day and now I'm worried it will affect my children" in any way equivalent to "am I too awesome to breed?"

I mean, there's a certain degree of "can you believe what a badass I was fifty years ago" to it, but that could as easily be chalked up to overcompensation in light of his question basically being "I used to be a massive drug abuser and consequently I'm a little nervous my children may end up looking like the mutants from The Hills Have Eyes. Is this a reasonable fear?" I'm not sure I understand why this thread is here, either.
