It's been tried and failed, but damnit, this time it has to happen. Let's have a meetup. Saturday, November 8th is my suggestion, but the time and location is open to suggestions.

srrh: Just show up and dont' worry about it. Most of us aren't internet celebrities and don't know wach other, and are just happy to meet some new friends. You'll get a bunch of new contacts, some faces to go along with the names, and may even motivate you to become more active in the site yourself. We're all weirdos here anyways, so relax, have fun and be yourself!

I MeFi mailed a couple of local people telling them about this thread. Hopefully they drop in here, or by on Saturday. Before this thing drops off the front page of MeTa, I'm going to call it: Saturday, November 8th, 7pm-ish til whenever at Bardo.
I hope more people show up - don't leave me at Bardo alone with wavering and waraw as they're pantless and doing back flips off of couches. Please?

Election Night bonfire on Tuesday at my place in de 'peake (10 mins or so from downtown Nfk) starting at 8pm. Television, coffee and bonfire are provided, BYOB, clothing required. MeMail me for directions.

Since the Granby Theatre thing does not appear to be happening (or RSVP'ing as it were), feel free to pop in at Red Dog on Colley Avenue. They have several televisions, of which I am sure one will be displaying the results, and good beer on draft.
