Anybody doing Hub On Wheels in Boston this weekend? Want to ride together for a while?
At the meetup in July I talked to some Bostonian mefites who liked bike riding. There is a big ride this weekend, called Hub On Wheels, where they shut down Storrow Drive for the day. If you read this and want to bike together for a portion of the ride, let's figure out a place to meet near city hall.

Dr.Enormous is. He's teaching class at the moment, but I can point him in the direction of this thread this evening. Not sure if he's doing the 30 or the 50.
Baby Zizzle and I will be watching from one of the foot bridges between the river and Comm Ave for awhile (probably the one near Blandford St) and then we'll be heading in for the end festivities on foot and in stroller respectively.
If you shout "Zizzle" really loudly, I'll be sure to shout "Nowoutside" back.

I don't bike, so I'm out, but if there was a get-together afterwards I'd be interested.

Ah, very interested, but I'm not registered yet. Let me check with Mr. Cocoa about logistics and then I'll drop another line in here.

Wait, he's pushing you in the stroller now? Why doesn't he do that for me?
Anyway, I'd certainly be up for some company, if you're planning to keep a somewhat similar pace. The only thing is: I don't know if you've ridden this event before, but the start is pretty much total chaos, which might make it hard to meet up and grab a decent spot in the lineup. I'm no burner, though I can keep up a decent clip, but I would like to get out ahead of the wobbly children and erratic twice-a-year cyclists as soon as possible, for safety reasons.
Not that it helped last year; I ended up in the hospital getting surgery from a crash that happened with nobody anywhere near me (my neighbors in the ER were also from Hub on Wheels). But still.
For anybody considering whether to do the ride, or contribute (it is a fundraiser, after all): the people who run this are absolutely fantastic. While I was in the ER, they took my bike back to their office, and then volunteered to deliver it to my house, where they gave me a goodie bag and a free jersey. Good people working for a good cause.
I'll send a mail over.
