Let's go for two in one month! Take that, Chicago! November 23, 2009 10:56 PM   Subscribe

Hey, St. Louis Mefites, sambosambo is going to be in town on Nov. 29. Let's use him as an excuse to avoid eating more leftovers!

Sambosambo will be in the area for a wedding and wants to meet up some time this Sunday. Mid-afternoon works best for him, so lets work around that. I'm going to go ahead and throw out the suggestion to go somewhere on the Loop since I have a rehearsal (as usual) that evening at the Touhill, and that's pretty close for travel time. (It doesn't have to be Cicero's, since that was a bit loud last time - though a Sunday afternoon might be a bit tamer...) So... discuss!

We should be down for whatever. Gonna need a break from family, anyway!

Yes, I'll have a lot of swear words saved up I'll need to let out after spending the whole day with in-laws ;)

WHAT, I CAN'T HEAR YOU! IT'S A BIT LOUD IN HERE!

I'm not sure how loud Cicero's is on a Sunday afternoon (or what my schedule is like) but I'm generally flexible and often up for hanging out, eating and drinking.

Oh, in unrelated STL news, remember when I said we should, uh, challenge the KC people to a midstate meetup? I did that and it seems like people there thought it would be cool. So it's on-ish.

Hmmmmmmmm.....I am actually coming up to STL for Thanksgiving, but I was going to leave on Saturday. If the meetup is going to be early-ish on Sunday I might be able to extend my stay.

Pondering.....

Feantari and I will be in town visiting my family, so count us in.

That's awesome, Kid Charlemagne. I vote for Flat Branch Brewery for the CoMo meet-up. They have great food, and brew their own beer. I'm looking at one of their growlers right now. It's full of pennies....

Anyway. Anyone have a preference on where for this Sunday? I personally don't dig Blueberry Hill, but again, the environment might be totally different on a Sunday afternoon...

Okay then. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!

I'm going to vote Cicero's at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Any nay-sayers, offer a different idea.

I have no ideas, really. Cicero's at 3 p.m. Sunday works for me.

Also, I added this to the sidebar, so hopefully more people will see it...

I'm late in getting to this thread, but Cicero's sounds just fine to me.

Also, sorry I'm not as popular as cortex. *shrug*

Off to wedding rehearsal! (My BFF Mikey's, not mine!)

I don't think I'll be able to make it this time around. Hopefully I'll catch you guys again inthe spring. Have fun!

I believe we're going to have to beg off...been running nonstop for a week doing family things, and I've got what seems to be a hairbrush worth of needles trapped in my lower sinuses...dammit!

Sorry to miss you guys. We'll have to have another meet-up soon. See everyone else there.

Thanks a whole bunch to kimothy and limeonaire for waiting around for me and my entourage. You two are aces.

Psh, what's four hours between Mefites?

Seriously though, it was great to meet everyone. And as far as waiting around goes, if I knew I'd spend the first half hour of rehearsal waiting for the sound board to work and then another 20 minutes to find out it had crashed, I might have stuck around longer...

Either way, we'll have to do it again sometime.
