"The page is still loading, please wait to add favorites."

Although the page seems to be completely loaded I get the above alert when I try to favorite. I get a similar one when I try to flag.

This is in Chrome, 3.0.195.38, XP. IE and FF work fine. I think this is a recent change because, you know, I've flagged and faved without issue in the past.

I've logged in/out, cleared cookies, cache and preferences.

I'd favorite you for the effort but I can't.

It means it hasn't loaded the prototype javascript library.

Yep, smackfu has it. Sounds like prototype isn't loading for you. Try clicking this link. You should see a bunch of JavaScript. If you can't get to this page, that means the Prototype library can't load for you for some reason. Once that page loads for you favorites should work again.

Keep tehloki away from that Chrome!

I've been rewatching Star Wars the last couple of days and read smakfu's comment as "jawascript" instead of javascript. You know, like the written language of the Jawas on Tatooine. That is all.

Just tried things out with that exact version of Chrome on XP and everything is checking out ok. I'm surprised loading the library directly didn't clear it up for you, sorry about that. I'm guessing this is some sort of network issue that will resolve itself eventually, but it sounds like you'll need to use FF or IE in the meantime.

Ok, thanks for checking it out for me.

but it sounds like you'll need to use FF or IE in the meantime.

Woah, woah woah WOAH. Let's be reasonable!

I use FF and periodically have the same problem. Closing down Firefox and reopening it tends to fix the problem usually, though not always. It makes me sad to think of all the favorites I haven't been able to mark. (It should make Ironmouth sad too, he's made lots of comments I wasn't able to favorite at the time of reading.)

At pb's request I've switched back to Internet Explorer 3.0 and have gone blind.

I had that problem too. It stopped when I changed the permissions in the NoScript plugin.

I fixed it when you got up to go to the can. That'll be $50. I prefer cash, but if you've already got the check made out....

Yeah, but when you think about it man, like, does a page ever really stop loading? *exhale*

I get that when I have AdBlock turned on. I usually just turn it off and refresh and it works again.
