According to the map, it doesn't seem like there has ever been a meetup in Colorado Springs. Anybody up for one this weekend?
Admittedly a bit short notice, but I just discovered (due to the East Coast snowpocalypse) that I'm going to be in Colorado Springs through this weekend. Are there any MeFites in the area up for a meetup?
I'm staying up in the northern suburbs, near the AF academy, but I have a car and would love to see some other parts of the city.
Anyone game?

That's a long way for me to go, and I don't happen to have a car any more, unfortunately. However, if I can finagle a ride from somebody, it may be a possibility.
I don't remember anybody from C Springs coming to meetups, unfortunately. Is anybody down there interested in doing this? Although as a rule I avoid that city, it would be interesting. Sort of like leaving the west to take a jaunt to East Berlin, circa 1983.

I think the map was an Anniversary Meetup feature that stuck around.
I drove out to Manitou Springs this evening just for the heck of it, and I could be convinced meet up out that way or in some other locale if that was more enticing to folks than Colorado Springs proper; I have no strong feelings either way.

I would be up for a drive down from Denver normally but I'm outta town this weekend. Good luck. You could head up to Denver if you can drum up some folks there.

Well I just got in from a long day of hiking (Red Rock Canyon, Garden of the Gods, the 'Incline') and now I'm afraid it may be a bit late to get something together for tonight.
I think I'll be back here in the not-too-distant future so maybe that time, with more advance warning, we can put together something (maybe something outdoorsy followed by the usual food/drinks?) as a group.
Of course, if my flight back to DC gets cancelled one more time I may just give up hope and declare residency. The view from the top of the Incline almost had me ready to this afternoon.

Ha! The incline. I always wanted to punch the people running past me as I huffed and puffed my way to the top. I miss the Springs.
