Of course it does. Newish ponies are often attracted to money, and power, and I have BOTH, and YOU KNOW IT!

First you get the money, then you get the power, then you get the ponies.

Man, fuck peonies. They get all covered in ants while they're buds, and then after they bloom they degrade into horrible rotten muck within hours.

They have to get covered with ants or they won't bloom. The ants eat the waxy coating off the buds, allowing them to open.

Wait, amyms, really? The ants are a necessary part of the cycle?
If that's true, I suddenly dislike peonies way less. They do get wicked gross when they wilt, though.

Eek! A quick perusal of Google tells me it's an old wives' tale, but I want to believe!... Either way, don't tell my elderly neighbor lady that it might not be true.

I came for the site news but stayed for the horticultural banter. Truly, this is the fair flower of the Internet.

She is newish, but doesn't practice nudaism. She still goes to the nude beach during high holidays so her parents won't flip out, and maybe to meet a nice veterinarian, worse things could happen, neigh?

I would like to express my unbridled enthusiasm for n_o_d's comment. Most puns should be put out to pasture, but these are a horse of a different color.

That's no elderly neighbor lady, amyms. That's a human husk filled with and animated by the servants of The Hive Queen. She's just keeping you docile with pheromones while she prepares to strike.

It seems like that sentence should be followed by "That's a maaaaaan, baby!" but the human husk thing is much more interesting.
