it's not, in any particular sense. kimyo is just going to this thing that he thought was going to be kinda cool, and he wants to know if any Metafilter folks want to go with. It's more or less a mini-meetup thread.

it reminded me of the ted talk by elaine morgan wherein she effortlessly demolishes everything you know about the monkey man evolutionary chain.
