Askme: Like a brige over troubled airspace

Thank you filter: friend in this question is now home safe with the re-opening of airspace. I want to give the most heartfelt thanks for everyone's ideas and advice.

We were in the situation of having no idea what could/should be done, and no-idea where to start and generally verging a little towards panic. AskMe came to the rescue with a better rundown of the situation and possibilities than anything we'd found online.

So sorry this is a bit gushy, but it's all the relief at everything being sorted!

Yeah, I'm really curious about the details, as I have a friend still stuck in KL who's trying to get back to the UK.

Yeah, just waited and got a plane. She'd actually been on a plane waiting to take off when the airspace closure was announced, so if they were going through people in that order she'd have been one of the first out.
