Unfortunately, Kevin Eubäncks is still at large.

Seriously, though: Rest in shit.

Considering that some people see the title of a post first, "Paul Schaefer Dead" (rather than, say, "Nazi cult leader dead") is an unfortunate choice of words.

This guy was almost certainly part of the CIA "rat trails" that helped ex-Nazis go to South America to "fight the commies"--especially when considered in the light that Pinochet was explicitly propped up by the CIA, and given that recent news revelations suggest Kissenger may have given the green light in 1976 to terrorist-style assassination in Washington, DC (Five days after Kissinger's message, Chilean exile Orlando Letelier and an American colleague were killed in Washington's Embassy Row in a car bombing later tied to Chilean secret police working through the Condor network).

If only he'd die sooner.

Guys like this make me wish I believed in hell.

This was one bad dude. I believe "mass murderer" should be added to "cult leader." Didn't he and his followers terrorize the community near their compound in Chile? I read somewhere people were abducted, killed, and buried in unmarked graves. His cult activities were quite chilling, so I'm not sure if the Letterman quips are actually all that appropriate.

Yes. And serial child abuser.

It's funny, because a well-known person who probably hasn't committed atrocities* has a similar name.

...he left the continent and wound up in Chile with 70 square acres of land.

Square acres are cubes, no? So he got a lot of air rights as well?

Here's a german documentary with some images of the colony and the horrendous story of a man who grew up in the colony and was abused continuously as a child. There are plenty more documentaries, most of them in spanish, on google video search.
