Summertime Glasgow Meet-up?
It was suggested at the last Glasgow meet-up that it had been far too long since the last one and we needed to have one this summer. So, how about Saturday afternoon-ish 5th of June?
We could make hypothetical plans to go to the Botanics or down to West for it's cracking beer and lovely garden on the Green or somesuch before the weather decides we would be best huddled round a three-bar fire in one of our many choice boozers.
Anyone?
*Saturday suggested to allow as many people as possible to attend and maximum hangover recovery time before the Monday.
5th of June as possible date as it's before the World Cup starts when the pubs will, inevitably, go ape-shit for a month.*
All entirely flexible of course and other suggestions most welcome.

All weather-based optimism should be welcomed! I'm up for this, and likely will be around in August too to welcome MeFites from abroad.

Aw, I was all excited that I might make it to my first meet up, but am in the Borders that weekend. Am an Edinburgher, maybe an August meet up over this side would be a goer? (As early in the month as possible for me).

Definitely up for doing one in Edinburgh- even if it is in the mayhem of Festival August.

Oh, I missed this t'other day – I'm definitely in for a meetup, and West on June 5th sounds like a fantastic plan; would do us west end ponces good to go elsewhere for a change.
August Edinburgh meetup also a good idea; we can show katemonster around (a nice bar).

Right so on the assumption that Catseye, Len and myself are in (I think three constitutes a meet up) and if we can persuade the Sarge to come west to West for some fantastic locally brewed beer (I'll bake, err I mean, buy a cake) I'd say we have an embryonic meet-up and I'll sidebar this in the hope of getting some lurkers to join us for for some bratwurst and booze.

oh dear. just arrived and this place is busy with potential meet upy groups of people all over the beer garden and a wedding to boot. we are sitting at a table near the door with a white tshirt reading the guardian at a ridiculous angle in case you are checking on a smartphone or havent left yet!

Sorry to have been a total flake on this one – I had some real world stuff that got in the way (anyone got a spare flat?) and still hasn't been sorted out. Should we organise another and do it right this time?
