Adelaide meetup?

Adelaide meetup and wtf-a-podcast!

So, it's been a couple of years since the last meetup in Adelaide. Anyone keen to do it again sometime? Might be a bit colder than last time but I think there are pubs that are a good solution for that.

Same goes for Perth. I was there all of last year and now once every month or so on a weekend. Any Perth mefites about?

Oh yeah, I just discovered the metafilter podcast. I know, I haven't been paying much attention obviously. But hey, you guys rock - especially jessamyn "hey fucknuts, like, BLAAAAAAAAAAAH!", I think you owe my employers a new keyboard ;)

Bummer, I just booked a 26 June flight for a family weekend a couple of days ago. I'd have added a Friday night if that would have fitted in.
Aside: I'm loving the current airline airfare war - $28 return Sydney/Gold Coast, last week.

I wasn't at the last one since I moved to town after the last meetup, but I think it would be fun to meet other meFites! Anytime works except for the weekend two weeks from now.

Depending on time and location and baby wrangling arrangements, I night be able to make the Adelaide one. Of course, I could make forza do the baby wrangling; she seems to like him. (forza and I are real life friends)

Re: Adelaide -- is the city centre most central (heh) for everyone? If so, and if we're going for a pub, maybe the Exeter?

I think CBD or North Adelaide (The British or The Welly) is probably pretty central though I'm fine if it happens a bit to the northeast, e.g. Norwood or even Maylands. Please, not The Excreta though, it has way too many loud drunk undergraduates in it. Scoozi could be awesome for a meetup over pizza.

How about a Saturday afternoon sometime in July? Which one doesn't really bother me.

Hmm, I showed up, but either before or after everyone else did (from about 2pm to 2:30pm)... or else you were there and I couldn't find you. (Amusingly, I think I weirded out the bar staff: "You're meeting people you've never met, but you know each other from a website? What?") Anyway, after waiting around for half an hour, I left. :(
