are we no longer allowed to use font tags in comments? March 18, 2002 4:44 PM Subscribe
Speaking of fonts -- are we no longer allowed to use font tags in comments? Mine seem to be getting stripped out during preview. This interferes with my ability to make snarky side comments.
Actually my font tags also seems to be getting stripped out during preview. I wonder how SRTWC is doing it?

OK -- so everybody got the memo but me. That's cool.
(and apparently justlooking forgot to check his cubbyhole as well)
Just purely out of curiosity, though, what was the impetus for this particular change, mathowie? With a very few exceptions, I haven't seen much abuse of the font tag 'round these parts... was there a dramatic font meltdown somewhere I missed? Did somebody threaten to use Comic Sans, or something?

An Experiment:

This is only an experiment, kids. Please don't try this at home.

MeTa runs a much older version of MeFi. A change there might not be reflected here right away, if ever.

Headline tags work too. This is h1. Annoying, isn't it?
And this is h6.

Hey - the goat tag works again! Good to keep in mind, in case Matt disables the headlines tags.
