Help me find an old post - things falling? October 16, 2010 4:51 PM   Subscribe

I've been trying for months now to find a metafilter post from a year or two back. It was MLYT, to someone who made short video pieces - as I recall, a lot of them were of carefully assembled stacks of things falling over.

I think the creator was knocking them over, in most cases. And there may have been some that were not falling-related.

I'm sure the videos were mostly filmed outdoors in urban areas, and I have a strong feeling that it was in Asia, maybe Tokyo?

The post may have actually only linked to one video, but the person had made many. I really can't remember anything else about them but would love to find it again, and all manner of keyword searches has failed me.

I also hope that MeTa and not AskMe is the right place for this...otherwise my apologies in advance.

Perhaps it was this Koki Tanaka video?

Yes! Thank you so much!

And to explain (a little) my false memory of many carefully assembled stacks, here is one, from a museum installation: Then, a whole bunch of basins crash down to the floor of the Museum of Modern Art, Gunma, Japan

Yeah, his videos really stuck with me since discovering them via that post, I go back and rewatch them every once in a while.
