Why does the "random" link on the Blue open a new window? Why can't it behave like all the other links in the nav bar?
I think it would be nicer if the "random" link redirected you to a new page in the browser window you are currently in.

It does for me, do you have other preferences set to open new windows?

Actually, I noticed this just the other day. I have no computer preferences set to open new windows, and that option in my MeFi preferences has always been unchecked. What gives?

I've noticed the same behavior, but after that new window opens I can click "Random" there and it'll open in the same window every time thereafter.

It behaves normally-- i.e. opens new page in the current window/tab just as all the other links in the nav bar uptop do-- for me. [FF 3.6.13 in OSX 10.4.11]

There was a typo in the target (
