Christmas spirit... I really didn't think I'd get any this year.

I haven't had the best year of my life but then someone posts something here which restores my faith in humanity... or the ISS... or gorgeous Kiwi kids.

For me, here in Oz, Christmas Day is a bit over 24 hours away. I'm not in the mood for it. But, damn, Metafilter keeps insisting on making me all warm and fuzzy.

Thank you all. May you all have a spectacular Christmas and New Year. May Santa bring you everything you want and nothing you need. May the mods have a particularly spectacular festive season because deity-only-knows you deserve it.

Fuck me and the horse I rode in on, she says, surprised but pleased... I think Taft's is the post which has finally filled me with Christmas spirit.

And I apologise to my offline Quonsars... yep, you're getting Vegemite.

That's my fault, sorry everyone! As a Jew celebrating Christmas, I've been sucking up way too much of the spirit to make up for all those years I didn't get to celebrate it. Our people usually end up giving back to the gentile community in exchange, but I've been way too busy to compose any best-selling Christmas songs.
