Political polls on Metafilter (posted in 2000) October 17, 2000 11:52 PM   Subscribe

Hurry!!! This is a time critical idea...

There has been a lot of great discussion about politics on MeFi. I think it would be cool to have a poll, listing all the candidates featured in discussions, just to see how the MeFi constituents would vote as a community.

I don't know if there are any aversions to web-based polling here at MeFi, but we won't get another chance to do this until 2004.

you could set up a poll offsite, and allow people to vote, I suppose.

why not create a poll with greenspun or some other service, post it like anything else, and see what happens? (i suspect what will happen is the mefi community will loudly debate whether they want to see posts like this in the future) I'd surely participate.
