Well, I just moved up here a couple weeks ago and missed the LA gathering - so yeah, why not.

(Not to hijack this thread or anything, but) I find myself wondering - and I don't think it's worthy of a thread of its own, since Metatalk is not IRC) how this sudden profusion of MeFi gatherings will change the dynamic around here, if at all. Perhaps a return, if in a fractured, geographic, slightly tribal way, to those hallowed days of yore, back beyond the shimmering veil, when MeFi was an a-list playground (yes, my tongue is firmly in my cheek), and more people actually knew one another IRL (or did they - I may be mischaracterizing), and free-roaming cabals struck fear into the hearts of the unwary...

Ahem. Resident newby here - having toyed with the notion of sneaking down to NYC to really find out what all these people are like (and to prove that I exist), only to repeatedly reject the idea as unworkable/ridiculous/guaranteed to only earn me abuse - I would nevertheless be interested in a Boston do. I might even be able to bring along my wife, if only to disabuse her of the "that 'chat room' thing you're always on" notion.

So - sometime in May?

I'll be going back home (southern New Hampshire) sometime this summer. Since the response to my efforts at getting a Salt Lake gathering have been less than stellar, I'd like to join you folks if the timing is right.
