Mefi-Famous Photographer

There was a Metafilter member who took really nice pictures of Mefites at meetups. I think this was around 10th anniversary time. He was Mefi-Famous for awhile and folks may have been even planning meetups around his travels. I also remember a comment from him where he talked about some of his techniques. Anyone remember who this is?

I tried searching under different combinations of "meetup" and "photos" and am having a hard time narrowing it down.

I met dashiv at a meetup earlier this year (or maybe late last year) and he was doing fine.

You must feel the dashiv around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the lighting kit and the model.

DaShiv will not give any indication that he's attending a meetup until he's there, and then all of a sudden everything's so wonderful it doesn't matter anymore that you can't feel your nose and the wrong everywhere.

(Whenever I see him he seems well.)

Dashiv came to a Toronto meetup once, but as far as I know, the pictures from that meetup were never posted.

Actually we knew he was coming to the MeFi10Nola event, which is why the rest of us didn't bother to take too many pix, because it was very "all hail dashiv"

Every month or two I'll really get some DaShiv nostalgia - he was super active over at MeFight Club, too. Awesome guy, and I only hope he at least comes back for the upcoming presidential election. His analysis last time around was great.
