Quick one; how can I answer an AskMeFi anonymously?
We all receive mail at that contact form; whoever is around will generally respond within a few minutes.

It doesn't matter, there's always someone watching and they all get the email sent via the contact form.

The contact form goes to all the mods.
And it's ok, we all know you've done a little ecstasy in your time, no need to hide it from us. We don't judge.

Thanks. How do I know which mods are online?
This is easy. Find a bug in the site. Make a MeTa about said bug. pb will respond in under five minutes, no matter where he is or what he's doing. (My sources tell me he has a chip implanted in his brain.)

Hi -- I dropped you an email back but basically everyone here has it covered. To recap:
- You are welcome to have a secondary account for the purpose of occasionally making comments you don't want associated with your main account.
- We strongly prefer that people have one main account [i.e. don't start using the secondary account as if it were a separate person on the site, but you don't have to associate it with your main account though we will know on the back end that it is you usually] but talk to us if you have questions. Many people note "this is a sock puppet" on the profile page of their sock puppet account.
- Using a secondary account to get around posting limits is not okay, the limits are per person not per account.
- Using a secondary account in any way to do weird back-and-forth commenting with your main account is very not okay. Do not make up a fake human identity for your sock puppet especially one that is a different gender or location from you. This rarely comes up but it's weird when it does.
- We are also happy to post comments in AskMe threads that we'll say "This is from a MeFite who would prefer to remain anonymous" so that's an option as well. We will not pass messages back and forth if someone wishes to get ahold of the person who had us post something for them (though occasionally we'll point something out to you if your comment got a lot of favorites)
Let us know if you have any other questions.

I read that as "chimp", which would be really interesting.

Can't be a chimp or by now he'd have written ten Shakespearean plays.

It's cool, I promise not to tell anyone about the "blisters". You can just MeMail me and I'll post your answer for you.

The contact form wakes all of them up with a signal to the shocker belt they wear.
Misread that as "hooker belt." I was greatly intrigued and wished to subscribe to the newsletter.

There seems to be a lot of misreading in this thread... chimps and hookers. What's going on with the world today?

There's people on the street
Getting diseases from monkeys
Yeah, that's what I said
They're getting diseases from monkeys
Now, there's junkies with monkey disease
Who's touching these monkeys?
Please, leave these poor sick monkeys alone
They've got problems enough as it is

This post almost made me fork over another $5 just so I could get a sockpuppet account with the name "This is from a MeFite who would prefer to remain anonymous". Or maybe someone else already did that.

The streets are cruel

You can put away your tool, Jemaine

I think it's admirable that L'Estrange Fruit is talking about the issues but is keeping it funky.
