Today is my Metafilter account's 10th birthday! To celebrate, here is a photo from before I joined the site of a puppy sitting on a laptop which is displaying Ask Metafilter. To illustrate how long it's been, here is that puppy's fully grown son.

My husband - who is across the room - just asked "what are you sighing about?". My reply was simply "puppies". He accepted that as making perfect sense and went on with his day which is why we're married.
Those are some cute tiny dogs, good work all round.

Happy Belated! Much gratitude for all your excellent contributions! I sent this one to a musician friend recently. She'd told me about getting harassed and stalked by a creepster who, it turns out, was her local scene's missing stair. Which she discovered after speaking out and making a big social media stink about it, because other people came forward. She got him ejected from the local music scene, yay!

So, articseal, you definitely want to avoid Prof. Taz's World Civ 101 section, but Prof. Lobster-Mitten will let you have class outside if it is nice. If you ever get way behind in your commenting, just go to Dean Cortex's office and start crying - he's a total softie. Also, if your roommate gets banned, you get a 4.0 for the semester.

I'm late to the party as usual (I only skim MeTa once a month or so) but I wanted to share this picture too! Nugget was born in 2008, which is when I put MeFi in my small collection of "always-open" browser tabs.
My favorite part of the picture is that as Nugget grew in complexity, so did his favorite rug. His tastes have become more mature! As has his aroma!
