Comment about precursors to postmodernism December 21, 2016 4:00 PM   Subscribe

There was a comment that contained a lot of useful citations to philosophers that wrote on subjects now considered "postmodern" before the actual postmodernists did. I don't remember what the thread was about, but I want to read some of those philosophers.

The comment took the point of view that postmodernism added nothing to the conversation and just rehashed these old philosophical problems with extra trolling. I recall repeated use of the template "You want to talk about _____? Read _____."
