Is there some sort of context to this? Or are mefites just starting threads to offer to buy specific arbitrary threads for people?

Yeah, i read about how mothers have difficulties sourcing formula, one story especially moved me of a single mother with a toddler and a small baby. She has no car, and makes a weekly one hour (one way) bus journey because only a limited amount can be bought per person. And she does not know each week if it will be still sold next week. Online deliveries are apparently not possible, etc. Stuff of nightmares.
I thought that possibly there are mefites affected, or know someone affected/in need, it seems especially formula for allergic babies is close to impossible to source in the US.
There is no shortage in Europe, and products are the same, except manufactured in Europe.

My baby-feeding days are in the past, but I have been getting genuinely anxious on behalf of parents of babies whose are affected. All of my kids needed a weird formula (Similac Alimentum -- I can remember the smell!), and we had already tried all the others so just switching to another brand wasn't an option.
15L06, if there's anything from the U.S. that you need, let us know and maybe we can balance the scales. :7) The doctors in Vienna took excellent care of my parents a few years ago, and I enjoyed passing through on a childhood visit. Austria, you're all right!

You're probably fortunate, because the headlines about the American shortage have started a panic buying effect here in Canada, so now we *also* have a formula shortage.

This prompted me to reach out to a friend in the US who’s about to have a child and will almost certainly use formula, but she’s stocked up for the first few months already.
But if anyone needs it, I can ship from Iceland (or Finland, from August).

Our "baby" is now 13 and lives primarily off of bananas and peanut butter sandwiches. But it does not seem like long ago that my partner was unable to breast feed and formula was critical to our lives. I cannot imagine what parents are going through now.
I just want to send the most glowing possible good feelings to the people looking to helping others out in this thread. That is amazing and you're good ones, all of you.
