If you are interested in joining this year's iteration of MeFite Fantasy (American) Football, please feel free to click here and join up!
People that join this league tend to take it pretty seriously, so if you do sign up, please be prepared to make the commitment. We will be having a live draft, date TBD.
If you had a team last year, you should be good to go.
If you had a team last year and did better than me, feel free to sit this one out! Ha! Just kidding.
I'm glad this is still happening, even though I don't have the bandwidth for FF (or, really, F)--good luck, everyone!

Sorry to drop out - I thought I was going to be able to do it, but I'm overloaded. I've finally gone back to school to try to get the degree I didn't finish twenty years ago, and being a full-time student + parent + work is absolutely kicking my butt this past week. I enjoyed playing with y'all and hope to join back in if there's a spot next year!

Do we take this "pretty seriously"? I used to put in a good couple of hours a week, and then one year put in maybe 15 minutes a week at most - and got roughly the same results, so I put in a "fun" amount of time now :)
If you're someone on MF looking to try fantasy football, and want a league with no "banter", but just an expectation that you'll set your roster each week, do come join us...

I'd be happy to join, depending on when the draft will be. I'm in one other league that's live drafting on 9/1 (at the same time as is listed on the Yahoo link), so if the draft is still TBD, I might be able to make it work.

We've changed the draft time and date to 9/2 at 7 PM Central.
I guess to clarify by what I meant by pretty seriously, I mean people that pay attention to their roster each week and try their best to field a competitive team.
I know some people really get in the weeds with that stuff, and YMMV, but I do like having managers that try to do well.

A good point - I should clarify too, from looking online "pretty seriously" looked like a good couple of hours reading and comparing various analysts. But over the course of several seasons I was struck that when I put in two hours effort, and when I put in fifteen minutes... the results were the same.
Actually, the won/less record results were better when I spent much less time. Whether that's me, or the nature of the NFL, I'll let others decide ;)

I'll be out of town for the draft but if autodrafting me a team is an option, I'd be interested. I've been in one other league for almost 20 years so no worry on the commitment side.
If autodraft isn't an option, perhaps it'll work for me next time.
