Douglas Rushkoff gives MeFi mods a shoutout

In ep.267 (25/10/2023) of his podcast, Being Human, Rushkoff gives a particular mention of MetaFilter in a long talk about social media.

Starting from around 22:00 through he says: "Most newspapers shut down their comments sections because they're so crazy and unruly and misinformed and filled with bots and everything else.

Reddit and MetaFilter always did this soooo much better, you know why? I mean, we can get into that. Because they have human...human moderators! They have human moderators actually making decisions"

It's a good fun talk all round, but the callout came a bit out of the blue, so to speak.
