Most weird thing I've seen on Metafilter in a while. I got this

-1073741819 (0xc0000005)

When I hit the home page. More suspicous - I had just read the Dick Cheney thread.

I've been getting this on and off all day, but it seems to be getting worse at the moment - it's mainly the home page (and when that loads, I'm getting a lot of 'Connection Error' messages) but also happening all over the place - I've been through five to post this!

Oh, and now it's happening when I hit 'post' too...

I've seen that 3 times this morning. Twice when I tried to read comments and just now when I wanted to come to MeTa to see if anyone else was seeing it. No Cheney for me, though. I was just reading about cubicles...from inside my cubicle.

internal server errors, -1073741819 (0xc0000005), and dick cheney. "she canna take mooch more captain!" the site is beginning to break up, the rats have abandoned ship and headed off in an IRC lifeboat.

I understand that people who live near Matt have been complaining about mysterious booms.

That's 'cause Matt is da bomb.

The Cheney thread is my fault. I fucked it all up... Damn It! Gimme another chance?

If only the address were 0xc0000001. Then we'd know how k-k00l Matt really is.

-1073741819 x 9112001 = -117.838202498002

Now, transpose the 83 and you get:

This just happens to be the day Franklin D. Roosevelt wrote a letter to the Red Cross requesting aid for Chinese civilians.

Spooky, isn't it?
