Missing image in MeTa markup March 6, 2003 1:36 AM   Subscribe

meta threads include a reference to http://metatalk.metafilter.com/mefi/images/1space.gif which isn't available (it doesn't affect the page rendering, as far as i can see, but i maybe it's adding load to the server) (and, incidentally, that error page - which is generated but not normally visible - has some weird html, with a head element somewhere in the middle).

(not very exciting, i know - maybe matt could delete this once he's seen it?)

Not doing anything? Isn't it helping company executives who run Netscape 4 on Titanium G4 PowerBooks (I know one) view the table properly? N4 would sometimes collapse empty cells.

eh? are you talking about the "lets close every tag we can think of" html? it's still clunky (not that i have anything better - at the moment i'm seeing blank pages on error on the system i'm developing).
i only noticed this because i have network traffic dumped to the screen background. my subconscious gave me a dirty great kick in the ribs when a bunch of java errors scrolled up behind the window i was working in. started trying to look for the problem in my own code...

oh, sorry, now i understand. i meant the error doesn't seem to affect the page. haven't looked at what the image is there for.
