Tokyo Meetup September 16, 2003 10:51 PM   Subscribe

vito90 calls for a Tokyo MeFi meetup somewhere between Oct 4-17. I'm happy to organize.
Please leave comments if you can/want to attend and if so, what days/times are good for you. For those who are living outside of Tokyo, Saturday nights may be better. But lets also consider a Wednesday or Friday night. My location recommendation would be Ebisu but we could also go check out the new location for The Pink Cow in Shibuya too.

I just saw "Lost in Translation" tonight, so I'm soooo jealous of you guys.

Thanks gen. Count me in. As long as Sophia Coppolla turns up.

The Pink Cow sounds good. I was always meaning to go in Harajuku but never did.

Any evening is okay, with advance notice.

Asparagirl- wanna give us a quick review? I'm dying to see it myself but I know it wont be here in Japan for a while.

Ok, I have appropriated the MeFiWiki as the main location for organization of the Tokyo MeFi Meetup in mid-October. Please check there and edit the document as appropriate.

But I forgive you.

Gen, domo arigato gozaimasu. I am wiki illiterate so I'll post here as events unfold. I'm going to be staying in Zushi (near Kamakura) and Kofu during my two week stay from 10/4 to 10/17. I will definitely need help to find any locations! Looking forward to meeting you folks out there!

stavy baby! I emailed you (via your MeFi member page info) right before I left for Seoul and didn't hear from you! I swear to god and Eudora Pro 6.0...

vito90: Zushi eh? Nice to be by the ocean but a bit out of the way. If we end up staying out late you're either in for a spendy cab ride or an all-nighter. You do realize that the trains stop around midnight here.

Yeah...that could be an issue unless maybe I get lucky. I'm not holding my breath. Maybe we can meet early enough for me to get back...

Gen, what are you doing in Japan? How long have you been there?

I would attend to like the gathering MeFi on Tokyo's grounds but fund-wise such things make cannot I go. Alas.

(I've emailed both gen (again) and adam, just so you guys know. I'm developing paranoia that half my emails aren't getting through to their recipients these days....)

I'm not good with the Wiki. Administrator please hope me! I am really really really going to be there between the 4th and 17th and want to meet for some cold ones. If there is any interest don't be shy!

vito90, for wikis you just select the "edit page" link on the relevant page and make the changes you want. I've added you to the wiki for the tokyo Meetup. Currently there are only 3 of us.

FYI, you might want to check out the other bloggers in Japan at the Japan Bloggers Webring that MJ maintains. We meet monthly in Tokyo but it is usually the 3rd Wednesday of the month and I think that may be after you have left. I can try to call an early meet for that month in your honor and see what happens.
