What possible value does abbreviating [More Inside] to MI have, other than to draw a curtain around the tribe, with their cryptic signs and signals? You know, unless you're Steven Hawking?

Although I argued for FPP way back when, though Matt hates it, I reserve the right to be inconsistent when I'm cranky.

This is not even related to FPP and MeFi. You used those as abbreviations to save time when you're typing a comment. You ONLY use [More Inside] when you're making a post, and you should not be in so much of a hurry to post anything that you can't slow down to type 2 words.

In another thread here somewhere (I can't find it), Matt said he was going to add a second text field to the post form in which you can write your MI text. Presumably, once this happens, the FPPs will contain some sort of automatic link to any extra text. So there will no longer be any need for MI or More Inside.
