I'll be there, but sadly I have to leave early, so I'll probably be there for half an hour or an hour. Which as far as the meet-up goes, may or may not be a good thing.

In a perfect world, that katrina would be my English/Irish co-globetrotting ex-girlfriend, who would be so cockle-warmed by all your tales of what a truly great guy I am and your clamouring to send me toilet-related photographic shoutouts that she realizes after all these years what a fool she was to dump me, and begs me via email to take her back.

Upon which I say (but kindly) 'Not a goddamn chance!' and the circle,as they say, is closed.

That'd be cool.

I'm coming, without Herself who graciously held back rolling her eyes when I mentioned the MeFi gathering. Her only question was, "What can you possibly talk about?" I didn't want to go into any deep discussions, so I said, "Pancakes."

That ended that conversation.

There are only three and they aren't very good, but here are the pictures I took from my seat at the meetup before I had to leave early. I had a great time, and in hindsight I'd rather have stayed for dessert than gone home to hints of identity theft. Oh well, live and learn.

My ambassador was suddenly recalled to a vital mission in florida for that weekend, she is willing to discuss peace terms with you all at some other point.
My word , deep fried mars bars................you need to stand outside the place with bottles of buckfast and harass passers by to get the full effect though.
