It just seemed too stupid to post (sorry). I know it's not written down anywhere, but some things are best left on your own personal site (do a search for "why is this on metafilter?" to see others like it).

I was about to email you about it - something people don't often think about it what message something sends to others (new users especially). If a newer user saw it, they might think "I've seen something funnier, I should post that too, heck it's a friday, right?"

It was a value judgement, I didn't think there was much discussion that could take place around it (I can't imagine any really), and I didn't want to set a precedent that it was ok to post something marginally funny with no discussion potential.

There are certainly images funny enough to post here, and I can't come up with a hard and fast, black and white rule to make it clear. Some humor is stupid, some is intelligent, some is really, really funny and goes beyond that. I just felt this one was stupid and could do more harm than good for the site.

it's your baby. :D

i dunno. i still think it's funnier than asking a search engine it's sexual-orientation.

but you're right on the idea of creating discussion. i don't think it really would of...

i'll keep that in mind for the next time. sorry to degrade the signal to noise ratio for a sec.

Exactly. That's stupid too, and I'm about to delete it.

sorry y'all, usually i'm up on the latest 'net funnies, and I just heard that one today... mental note, low-brow humor not cool.

So a horse walks into a bar, bartender sez, 'why the long face?'

Also just deleted: a link to dancingpaul.com, mentioned previously and even up for webby this year.

Is there something in the water today? Old links = good links suddenly?

hmm, to self link or not? Well, on the main section of my site is a place I created specifically for stupid links and dumb photos and what not. Too bad nobody uses it. 'll leave it up to those interested to find it, though.
