I may be cranky, but I think they suck.

I also think your shameless self-promotion sucks.

There. I said it. I said it on one of the KC threads too, but thought better of it in preview and didn't. But you had to push it.

They would be better if they were. . . good. At all.

The self-promotion sux.

i think the format and the design is actually kind of interesting and I think the idea has some potential.

i am sorry, but it's been something i've been playing around with, and all i wanted to do was show it around to ppl and get their opinion. that's the reason why i posted the link.

i run a small weblog, i don't go around shamlessly promote it, but this was something was kind of deart to me and i really needed to get some feedback, so i post the link.

silly me, to think that it's not considered ethical to post a link of your work.

sorry about the last line: i meant: silly me, to think it's alright to post a link of your work which is related to the discussion.

also the comic was the only way i expressed my position on the nicole thing. it wasn't something that i could post on egroups, so i sent a link. big deal.

so now that we got the self-promotion thing out of the way, i really need to get constructive feedback to shape the comic series into something polished.

Umm, which discussion was that? I don't recall MetaTalk being dedicated to kaycee nicole, did I miss the memo?

I like the concept, but how can we give you feedback on two comics? I mean, there's a sense of style, verticle frame layout and there's a definite artistic style which may or may not have merit, and there's a writing style which is decent.

The best feedback you'll here: Keep Doing It. Webcomics take a long time to evolve, and they take a long time to become popular. Look at the early Userfriendly comics, look at the early Penny Arcade comics. The chracters are only similar to what they are now, the writing in both has evolved greatly.

And it's because the people behind the comics have been doing them for years. So you just have to keep doing it.

And don't promote it here, that's not what this site is for.

My initial response was unnecessarily harsh and mean, and I regret it. I have apologized to Adnan and I will attempt to keep a civil tone in the future.

Who says it's out of the way? It's pretty damn arrogant to repose the question when you've been told by several people that it doesn't belong here. You're basically saying "yeah, yeah, whatever...how's my comic?". If anyone wants to give this guy feedback about the comic, please do it via email. This is not the place for it.

BTW, a quick look at your blog reveals that you're the kind of blogger who's in it to stroke his own ego.

I've got an idea. Go stroke something else...somewhere else.
