Ah. I was suffering withdrawal symptoms like you wouldn't believe.

I am so comforted to see the MeFi blue.
I can stop hitting ctrl + R every three minutes. I was beginning to think I had a problem.
Hey the shakes and sweating stopped. Wierd.

Matt, will we see the story as to what happened? I mean, you know, it's a good story, I suppose.
Welcome back, MeFi. Your dreams were your ticket out.

So it was all just a bad dream. Except that, apparently, MATT NEEDS A JOB!

This morning I was drinking my daily Coke and thought to myself how great the NFL are. I mean with Paul Tagliabue and Vic Carucci at the bow - it's got a future, unlike others, har har. At E3 the Wolfenstein chicks' were buttering me up and over selling the game but it wasn't necessary. After five minutes playing I was hooked. It's a really great game. I don't want to spoil it for you though - you'll have to play it yourself. Last night I watched CNN's 6pm news and as always it was as skint on quality so I turned over to NBC. I wasn't dissapointed. They've been erecting signal towers all over the bay and it's really improving the picture quality. Other stations just look dirty by comparison. On my 50" panasonic (trinitron) my TIVO looks lush and hushed. The box really fits discretely into my apartment, and my life.
The preceding was Matt's possible job. Ever so subtle product placement. Sure.

The basic story is available, in Matt's own words, here. Nothing mysterious, just one more headache he probably didn't need.

Good to see that MeFi is back... man, talk about withdrawls!
Sorry, though, to hear that Matt has been laid off. Shame he's so far away, or I'd probably be pushing for our tech team to bring him on board. Good luck, Matt, with the job search. I'm sure you'll do just fine.
