Doublepost magically disappears? June 18, 2001 12:17 PM   Subscribe

So, is a repeat topic deleted? I posted a comment on a topic that had been revealed as a repeat. About a minute later, the thing didn't exist. Poof!

Either Matt is really on top of things, or there's some kind of cool scripting going on that I need to know about.

They've set him up as a reduced-priority task on my server bank. (Stop, Matt. My mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. Daisy, daisy...)

Hah, Steven, I've got your DATs floating right here, and you can't have them!

The mathowie process is actually an increased priority task. I think from the command line it's

set -uid mathowie -status unemployed

Ever since this was done to me, my Metafilter performance has markedly improved.

What part of unemployed did you not understand? :)

If I'm not on a playstation, or out enjoying the sun riding my bike, or trying to have lunch with employed friends that might give me a job, I'm here, which is a lot more than usual.

So, you're just using me for my employment connections? Fucker! See if you ever get another rental from Kottke's DVD Barn.

You know, I bought that and just watched it last night on DVD for the first time. I was disappointed. It's still a good movie, but it's much more magical on the big screen.
