Trying to run an ad May 12, 2004 8:10 AM   Subscribe

About a month ago I paid for the renewal of a long-running MeFi Text Ad via PayPal. The ad isn't running yet and the payment remains unclaimed. I've emailed #1 twice so far without response, and didn't know where else to turn. Advice, anyone?

I recently placed a text ad here and it went just fine. Matt (matt@haughey.com) has one of those challenge/response email services (knowspam.net), so it sent an email asking me to verify myself. Once I did, it went okay.

Did you receive any emails like that?

Yes, both times. I was able to successfully verify that I am a real person, and received notices that the messages got through.

If you want me to tell you to sue Matt, I can't do that.

However, I can recommend some Heavies that might come around and "persuade" him to put the ad up. We had some problems with Haughey before, and we had to come around and break a few case fans to get our point across, but it got results.

Actually, this another thread that requires no comments, due to it being a direct plea to Matt.

Hilda's right. If you don't all stop commenting in this thread immediately, I'll be forced to start a new MetaTalk thread to take you to task.

send me 100 bucks (that's how you americans speak, right?) and i'll make the server crash periodically to teach him a lesson.

No lawsuits or lessons neccessary -- I just needed a way to get a hold of Matt.

Thanks for all the offers, though.

Guess there's not much point in me commenting here, then.

I approved the ad. Apparently when I was traveling last month I lost track of 3-4 ads in the middle of April. I've been crazy busy this year, spending almost as much time on the road as I spend at home, and things like this slip through the cracks from time to time. Sorry about that.
