Cool tools link with RSS feed June 8, 2004 11:54 AM Subscribe
Gizmodo + Cool Tools + Whole Earth Catalog = Meta-efficient .. following up on luser's FPP a few days ago, Reactual has added an RSS feed.
followup.metafilter.com would be such a nice pony. Blue, green, and grey are taken but maroon is still available...

Actually I'm not sure it merrits a separate page. After all, it's not going to be some people who are interested in followups and some who aren't... I'd rather they be posted on the front page, possibly in a smaller font and with the ability to turn them off for people who want their front page without any distractions of things past (yeah, so I lied. Some people aren't going to be interested in follow ups; most are though.)

fvw makes a good point.
As an aside, the old thread is still open in this case (only a few days old!), and this probably should have been posted there.
The other thing about follow-ups (as in this case), is: what counts? For instance, I myself don't care at all about an RSS feed. Similarly, I meant to post last week that a previously discussed design contest was nearing it's deadline and final voting period -- but I didn't think it merited a MeTa follow-up (the original thread was closed). Surely, though, some people would have loved this info -- just as I'm sure some people are thrilled to hear about this RSS feed -- but where draw the bar?
