Ah, shit. Looked great on preview.
Translated: Please condense multiple "br" tags into one, to avoid the kind of post that I linked to above.

Because that kind of post is such a big problem on MeFi that it's worth spending time and effort coding a "fix."

Jesus.

Writing an annoying post with a bunch of breaks, that's a paddling. Wasting my time by pointing out said post in a new MeTa thread, that's a paddling.

Bah.

Sometimes, I put extra spaces (see above) in my posts that others might not need, but I like it better that way.

So, what's the issue with that?

(P.S.: Can I still have the paddling?)

Never trust the preview. It is not your friend.

At least it drops the Paris Parasmus thread closer to the bottom of the page.

I already have a function to strip out any extra returns, but in the originally linked comment, the person inserted an apostrophe at the end, which I bet was a mistake.

Asking for a paddlin'... you better believe that's a paddlin'.
posted by Johnny Assay at 3:46 PM on August 22, 2004

The question is, is the paddling you get after you ask for a paddling the paddling you asked for, or punishment for asking for one?

Also, having a lot of newlines can be useful as spoiler space.

I apologize, seeing as that this thread was rather pointless. If you want to delete it, Matt, go ahead and free me from my dork shackles.
