There are a couple of threads going in AskMe dealing with 'net addiction workarounds...Can they be combined into a single thread? Because I can't stop clicking back and forth between them!

One is a general question about handling internet addiction1. The other is a specific technical question--although internet addiction is the motivation for the the question, the question is not about internet addiction. (In fact, I had to scan AskMe three or four times before the second one linked even registered as one of the ones being discussed here--the first few times I just read the first five words and dismissed it as a technical question. Which it is.) It's entirely proper for them to be two separate questions.

[1] "Addiction" here used in a loose, non-technical sense.

Wow, I can't believe my second AskMe question ever has been referred to in the grey!

An older Internet addiction thread didn't show up because I only used Google. Now I will use both Google and the internal search. Of course I was the first person to post today ;-) and I do think the questions are different.
