Ted: "But why do they put a guarantee on the box, then?"
Tommy: "'Cause they know all they sold you was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time.

I thought we were to laugh at the stupid product (lame, but not venal FPP) rather than to want to buy the stupid product (lame and venal FPP).

It's a legit FPP because it's funny and subversive. Get a grip!

I'm funny and subversive, where should I grab, Paris? Is it just me or does lame and venal sound like dinner at a hunting lodge?
By the way, has anyone remixed Naughty by Nature's OPP to MeFi's FPP yet? If not then why not? If so then let's have it.

Where else could you go, LimePi? Your ex-wife got the car.
But remember, Matt is down ON FPPs, not WITH FPPs.
He dislikes the term almost as much as he dislikes me calling him howie.

Yes this is a bad link, but let's not jump to conclusions about this "snake oil":
I also don't believe "it's a illegal" or "it might be illegal" is grounds for not linking/doing it. Sometimes civic disobedience works very well [1]

Former Baltimore police officer Bob Kleebauer conducted his own road test.- Washington Post
...
Late one night in March, he drove to the intersection where his wife
got a photo-radar ticket. His license plate coated with PhotoBlocker,
he waited until no cars were coming, then ran the light.

Oh I omitted the part of the quote that says he did not receive a ticket.

Re: the Cleveland Steamer post above, it would be really neat if Matt instituted a filter on tiny04/buggybuy's entire IP block, with a redirect page to his contact information.

A couple years ago a client of mine was selling this stuff and gave me a bottle. If anyone is interested in testing it, perhaps I could send it for some further research? I haven't used it myself because.. well.. you know.
I think its just realy low quality hairspray though.

jeffmik: Hairspray? Really? Hunh.
I hate tank04/buggybuy more than ever now. Funny that it's the same IP address...who's the moron who thinks this kind of "marketing" is at all effective? It seems to be quite a waste of time, if not completely counterproductive. It's not like any MeFite saw the link and immediately went "OMG I'VE SEEN IT NOW I NEED TO BUY IT!!!!!!"
The shitty part about open memberships now is that no matter how ineffective spam is, there will always be some twinklebat thundering in to get some hits. I'm trying to think of a way to actively punish these spammers beyond surreal invective - to make the prospect quite evidently a bad idea - but I'm drawing a blank.
Oh well. Sorry you have to put up with this, Matt.

Well, *clears throat* I hate to say I told you so...
